Human-centered design is all about developing empathy for the people for which you are designing; generating tons of ideas; building a bunch of prototypes; sharing what you’ve made with your test-users; and eventually putting your innovative new solution out into the world.
For the full explanation of DFA’s design thinking process, view the guide here.
Each quarter, our Project Leads and members of the Leadership Team scope out potential problem spaces, or areas in which DFA could be of use, including health care, food waste, and sustainability.
We emphasize collaborations with community organizations that have resources or direct contact with the people impacted by the problem space.
If you are interested in collaborating us, please contact us here.
Once our problem space is finalized and we have secured a community partner, our teams go through a process of ideating, building, iterating, and testing with users. These stages allow our projects to be truly user-focused.
